A new training webcast “CIPF and CDIC: Coverage and Disclosure” has been developed by the Canadian Investor Protection Fund (CIPF), in collaboration with the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC), to help individual employed by IIROC member firms learn about CIPF and CDIC while meeting their IIROC Compliance CE requirements.

This webcast features a panel discussion with Ilana Singer from CIPF and Emiel van der Velden and John Rossi from CDIC, where they:

• provide an overview of their respective organizations and how coverage works, including the types of property and accounts that are covered, and the coverage limits,
• explain some key updates relevant to IIROC and CIPF members, including the upcoming changes to CDIC's coverage and to the CIPF Disclosure Policy, and
• highlight available resources to help members and the public learn more about CIPF and CDIC.
