Hon. Aldéa Landry

President of Landal Inc., a consulting firm based in Moncton, New Brunswick. A lawyer and businesswoman, she was previously a Cabinet Minister and Deputy Premier of New Brunswick, a civil servant with the New Brunswick Department of Justice and a legal practitioner in a law firm that she co-founded.

Director of The Shaw Group Ltd., serving on the Audit Committee. Director of Fraser Papers Inc. serving on the Audit Committee and Chair of the Governance Committee. Director of the Bragg Group of Companies, serving on the Audit and Governance Committees. Director of the Canadian Council on Learning, serving on the Executive Committee, and the Audit and Finance Committee. Director of Moosehead Breweries Ltd., serving on the Audit Committee. Chair of the New Brunswick Regional Health Authority, serving ex officio on the Audit and Finance, Governance and Nomination, Ethics, and Planning and Budget Committees. Director of the Canadian Foundation for Economic Education. Former Chair of the Atlantic Provinces Economic Council and served as a Director of the Bank of Canada.

Holds honorary Doctorate degrees in law from the University of New Brunswick and from the Université de Moncton and in Humane Letters from Mount Saint Vincent University. A graduate of the University of New Brunswick (Bachelor of Laws) and the Université de Moncton (Bachelor of Arts). Appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1987 and to the Privy Council of Canada in 2005. Awarded the Order of Canada in 2006.
